Junior Seniors
Many of our Junior Seniors come to us with years of experience in the caring professions including; nursing, registered practical nursing, social work, pastoral care and the paramedical field. Many others are retired teachers, engineers, business professionals and experienced volunteers.
Most importantly, every one of our Junior Seniors enjoys assisting older persons who wish to remain as independent as possible and to age at home - whether that be in a retirement residence, long term care residence or in their own home.
All of our Junior Seniors must have lots of life experience and be a minimum of 50 years of age to work with Seniors For Seniors™ . The average age is 60 to 65 years. Because our Companion CaregiversSM are closer in age to our Senior Seniors, they have shared life experiences, work ethic and a sense of responsibility and reliability to offer in caring for their clients.
A hallmark of our service is that we make every effort to send the same Junior Senior to the same Senior Senior on every visit in order to promote a sense of continuity and stability with the care receiver and their loved ones.
